Goanya is not too large, even a relatively very small, there are two entrances that inside was very dark with no lighting. Maybe Goa is indeed sacred by its organizer, so do not try to get into Goa too far, might not make it out later.

Sunan Drajat is one of the charismatic of an Islam spreaders in Java who is called Wali Songo. He was very intelligent man and people called him Raden Qosim. His father, Sunan Ampel sent him to Aceh and Mocca to study Islam. After finishing his study, he taught Islam at the north coast of Java especially at Paciran, Lamongan.

As a religious teacher, Sunan Drajat was known as the social Moslem who paid much attention to the poor. He developed the social welfare first then he taught his doctrines. To respect his great struggle, the local government of Lamongan Regency built a museum in the complex of the cemetery and it was officially opened by the governor of East Java on March, 31 1992.

This grave is located at Paciran village, Lamongan district. Generally, the pilgrims of this grave are domestic tourist. Besides, tourists from Asian countries also often visit it. The facilities that the tourists can get in this graveyard are; parking area, mosque, restaurants, rest place and bathroom. Those facilities are prepared for the tourists, in order to get their pleasure to come to this place

Situated in “old Surabaya”, this stately Dutch colonial style compound was built in 1858 and is now a preserved historical site.

Previously used as an orphanage managed by the Dutch, it was purchased in 1932 by Liem Seeng Tee, the founder of Sampoerna, with the intent of it being used as Sampoerna’s first major cigarette production facility.

This complex consisted of a wide central auditorium, two smaller buildings in east wing and occidental and some wide barns with one floor behind central auditorium. The buildings that stay in both auditorium wings is then turned into family house, whereas big barns looks like a warehouse exploited for tobacco and clove processing, to catch, stick it and packing, printing office and finished goods processor.

Today, the compound is still functioning as a production plant for Indonesia’s most prestigious cigarette, Dji Sam Soe. In commemoration of Sampoerna’s 90th anniversary in 2003, the central complex has been painstakingly restored and is now open to public.

The original central auditorium is now a museum and the east side has been transformed into a unique structure containing a caf窠a merchandise kiosk and an arts gallery. The building on the west side remains the official family residence.

Museum

From the story of the founding family to closely watching a real hand roll production facility and ending up with an unforgettable experience of rolling a stick of Dji Sam Soe cigarette. You can join 3,900 women in this plant, hand-rolling cigarettes using traditional equipment. They do it at a speed of more that 325 stick per hour.

The Museum collection amount to about 15000 items, The collections come from prehistory epoch, Hindu-Buddha, Islam epoch, Colonial and Modern.

Mpu Tantular Museum is continuation from Stedelijk Historich. Surabaya Museum that built by Von Faber, a Germany collector and permanent in Surabaya. He built the museum since 1922 and can be realized in 1933, and has just been opened on 25 Junes 1937.

Name of Stedelijk Historich Surabaya Museum in 1972 altered become East Java Museum by 1 Novembers 1974 by the name of Museum Negeri Propinsi Jawa Timur “Mpu Tantular”. Giving of the name as respect to big master Majapahit, book author Arjunawijaya and Sutasoma that in its book consist of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika philosophy as Indonesian nation password.

This Museum was located in Raadhius Ketabang then move to Tegalsari Street a widow house Han Tjiong King of width five times from initially wide. From tegalsari move again to Pemuda Street 3 Surabaya (now Trimurti Senior High School).

Since 1974 until 2001 museum under the Culture Directorate General is UPT (Technical Executor Unit) and since area autonomy became East Java UPTD. Since 14 Mays 2004, Mpu Tantular Museum is moved again to Buduran Roadway, Sidoarjo of the first address in intersection in Diponegoro Street and Darmo Roadway Surabaya.

Because its development, hence the room is also felt unsatisfying adequate, it is try to get adequate and broader room for museum. The business is executed blessing obtained by it a new building in Simpang Street that is now conceived of Pemuda Street Surabaya, and financed by public.

Von Faber passed away on 30 Septembers 1955. After Von Faber had die, museum not maintained, a lot of collection had damaged or loosed. Then museum is placed under the Center of General Education Organization for the culture that taking care of continuity of museum life.

Here in after arise initiative to deliver this museum to Local Government of East Java Province. Opening is done on 1 November 1974. Hereinafter, this ‘Museum Negeri Jawa Timur’ called ‘Mpu Tantular’ with location initially in Pemuda Street 3 Surabaya. Because its addition collection hence at mid of September – October 1975, the museum is carried over Taman Mayangkara Street 6 Surabaya, which declared on 12 Augusts 1977.

Until 2005, the Museum collection amount to about 15000 that classified to become 10 collection types that is Geology, Biology, Ethnography, Archaeology, History, Numismatic and Heraldic, Philology, Ceramics, Fine arts and Technology. The collections come from prehistory epoch, Hindu-Buddha, Islam epoch, Colonial and Modern.

Trinil Museum is located about 12 kilometers in the west of Ngawi is in same direction of Soerjo monument. It constitutes the complex of myth of ancient man fossil (prehistoric men fossil) (Pitecanthropus erectus) and also fossils of other ancient life, which has been raised to the world of science by an archeologist named Eugene Dubois since 1891.
In this complex of myths there are many kinds of facilities such as: the place to keep the fossils any its exposition, fossil laboratory, and others where all of them lie at the side of Solo river. After observing the museum collection and their scientific identifications, then the visitor can enjoy the direction of the side of Solo river from the altitude, we can imagine the fragment of lives of the prehistoric people in the shade of the tropical forest at the side of Solo river, as though we have become apart of them.

At early begin, Loka Jala Crana Museum was build on September 19 1969 by the name of Navy Museum, which is legalized by Mrs. R Mulyadi. According to its name, the navy museum was dedicated to the navy cadets as a history lesson to study for. As the time goes by, the museum change become TNI-AL Museum or Navy Museum on July 10, 1973. Finally, on the last changes this museum is already change to be Navy Loka Jala Crana Museum on October 6, 1979.

Loka Jala Crana Museum is located in Morokrembangan, at Krembangan Sub-district, Surabaya and under the Naval Academy and Command, Education & Navy Development for soldier, sergeant and officer. The resident is famous by “Bumi Moro” Surabaya This museum is remind the history about Navy, which is about Physical Revolution and this museum also has collections that connected with the revolution, including of cannon warships, aircraft, helicopters, Amphibious Tank PT 76, field artillery and air defense, firearms; from pistols to ancient automatic long-barrel which probably can not be found in other places. Beside, there is also a KRI miniature ship war which is compact with mirror frames. The miniature made by the original fleet that used to strengthen the Republic of Indonesia.

Loka Jala Crana museum collections’ mainstay is cannon which is derived from warship “De Zeven Provincien” type Destroyers. This cannon was remain the struggle of Indonesian sailors Which defeated the Dutch East Indies warships on February 4, 1933.

At this museum, The most exciting rides and liked by the visitors is the Planetarium, which is simulations that show the stars or anything on outer space. Visitors are being invited to wander the universe and to understand the concept of universe system. The dome-shaped roof and a semi-circle around walls are decorated with all the zodiac like Virgo, Sagittarius and Gemini.

After that, there is also a famous of Indonesian Dewaruci ship replica, the original is still on the track until this present time. The ship is being functioned to train the cadet to go sailing for months. Navy museum is such an action movie remaining the struggle of Indonesian Navy. By this museum existence, hope that people nowadays will acknowledge the meaning of ancient heroes’ fight, especially for Indonesian Navy.

Sited alongside the Kalimas River and originating from the country’s Navy Armada, the Surabaya Submarine Monument (Monumen Kapal Selam) is conveniently close to Swarga Park and several good cafes. Step inside the submarine and you will find some interesting information about the region’s rich maritime heritage, as well as some scenes recreated with dioramas, and videos documenting the life of the Indonesian navy.

Wage Rudolf Soepratman is the Great Hero of the author of Indonesia national anthem. Born on Monday, 9 March 1903 in Jatinegara Jakarta believe in Islam and not followed the political organization. His father named Senen, a sergeant in Battalion VIII. Mothered by his brother in-laws of WM Van Eldik (Sastromihardjo) he had learnt pluck guitar and fiddle violin.

In 1914, Soepratman follow Roekijem to Makassar. Over there, he sent to school and financed by Roekijem husband named Willem Van Eldik. Soepratman study Dutch language in night school during 3 years then continued it to Normaalschool. He go to an education school in Makasar and when he 20 years, he is lifted as a teacher in Angka 2 School. Two years after, he get Klein Ambtenaar certificate.

When he live in Makassar, Supratman had studied music from his brother in-laws named Willem Van Eldik, so that he clever to played violin and then he can compose song. When living in Jakarta, once upon a time he read a composition in Timbul magazine. The composition writer invited the Indonesia music experts to create the national anthem.

In October 1928 in Jakarta, there was passed off a Youngster Congress. The congress had borne ‘Sumpah Pemuda’. At congress closing night, on 28 Octobers 1928, Supratman sound off his creation song instrumentally in front of the public participant. At that time is for the first time of Great Indonesia song is echoed publicly. All which presents is surprised to hear it. Swiftly the song had known among national movement. If the political organization performed a congress, hence Great Indonesia song is always warbled. The song is materialization of association desire to independence.

He ever built music group which stream jazz called Black and white until 1924. He went to Surabaya and Bandung become newspaper correspondence of “Kaoem Moeda”.

By 28 Octobers 1928, performed a Second Youngster Congress with result of young man oath that confessed one fatherland, one nation, one Indonesians. In that congress had warbled by Great Indonesia song and accompanied by friction of WR Soepratman violin.

7th Augusts 1938, (Sunday) Indonesia Scout had sung Rising Indonesia song in NIROM Embong Malang Street Surabaya. Passed away in Mangga Street 21 Surabaya
The effect of create the Great Indonesia song, he always hunted by the side of Dutch Indies Police and caused fall sick in Surabaya. Because his last creation song “Matahari Terbit” in the early of 7 Augusts 1938, he is caught when he broadcasting the song with the guides in NIROM Embong Malang street, Surabaya and jailed in Kalisosok Surabaya, and then die in 17 Augusts 1938 on Wednesdays buried in Kapasan graveyard.
