Forest Park or the commonly referred to as Tahura according to Law
No. 5 of 1990 on the conservation of biological natural resources
and ecosystem, forest park road is a nature conservation area for
the purpose of collection of plants or animals and natural or
artificial, species not native or indigenous, which is used for the
purposes of research, science, education, support the cultivation,
culture, tourism, and recreation.
Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman (WAR) was established by Minister of
Forestry Decree No. 408/kpts-II/1993 with area 22, .244 Ha. Tahura
Wan Abdul Rachman has a wavy topography of mild to severe and some
flat, in the area there are 4 (four) two mountains, namely: G. Chain
(1671 m above sea level), G. Pesawar (661 m above sea level), G.
Betung (1240 m above sea level) and G. Ulu Padang Tangkit Queen
(1600 m above sea level). |
