Lamongan Sunan Drajat Museum |

Sunan Drajat is one of
the charismatic of an Islam spreaders in Java who is called Wali Songo. He was
very intelligent man and people called him Raden Qosim. His father, Sunan
Ampel sent him to Aceh and Mocca to study Islam. After finishing his study, he
taught Islam at the north coast of Java especially at Paciran, Lamongan.
As a religious teacher, Sunan Drajat was
known as the social Moslem who paid much attention to the poor. He developed
the social welfare first then he taught his doctrines. To respect his great
struggle, the local government of Lamongan Regency built a museum in the
complex of the cemetery and it was officially opened by the governor of East
Java on March, 31 1992.
This grave is located at Paciran village,
Lamongan district. Generally, the pilgrims of this grave are domestic tourist.
Besides, tourists from Asian countries also often visit it. The facilities
that the tourists can get in this graveyard are; parking area, mosque,
restaurants, rest place and bathroom. Those facilities are prepared for the
tourists, in order to get their pleasure to come to this place |

Situated in “old Surabaya”, this stately Dutch colonial style compound was
built in 1858 and is now a preserved historical site.
Previously used as an orphanage managed by the Dutch, it was purchased in
1932 by Liem Seeng Tee, the founder of Sampoerna, with the intent of it being
used as Sampoerna's first major cigarette production facility.
This complex consisted of a wide central auditorium, two smaller buildings
in east wing and occidental and some wide barns with one floor behind central
auditorium. The buildings that stay in both auditorium wings is then turned
into family house, whereas big barns looks like a warehouse exploited for
tobacco and clove processing, to catch, stick it and packing, printing office
and finished goods processor.
Today, the compound is still functioning as a production plant for
Indonesia's most prestigious cigarette, Dji Sam Soe. In commemoration of
Sampoerna's 90th anniversary in 2003, the central complex has been
painstakingly restored and is now open to public.
The original central auditorium is now a museum and the east side has been
transformed into a unique structure containing a café, a merchandise kiosk and
an arts gallery. The building on the west side remains the official family
residence.

The genesis of TNI-AL Loka Jala Srana Museum is build on 19 Septembers 1969 by
the name of AKABRI LAUT Museum, has just on 10 July 1973 its statuses is
improved to become TNI-AL museum. Last on 6 Octobers 1979 changing name to
become TNI-AL Loka Jala Srana Museum.
TNI-AL Loka Jala Srana Museum reside in Morokrembangan Surabaya in the
middle of TNI-AL center education area that is TNI Angkatan Laut Academy (AAL)
(Academy of Indonesia Maritime Marine Military) that educate the TNI-AL
enlisted man level of Academy and Commando, TNI-AL Education (KODIKAL) that

Mpu Tantular Museum is continuation from Stedelijk Historich. Surabaya
Museum that built by Von Faber, a Germany collector and permanent in Surabaya.
He built the museum since 1922 and can be realized in 1933, and has just been
opened on 25 Junes 1937.
Name of Stedelijk Historich Surabaya Museum in 1972 altered become East
Java Museum by 1 Novembers 1974 by the name of Museum Negeri Propinsi Jawa
Timur "Mpu Tantular". Giving of the name as respect to big master Majapahit,
book author Arjunawijaya and Sutasoma that in its book consist of Bhinneka
Tunggal Ika philosophy as Indonesian nation password.

September - October 1975, the museum is carried over Taman Mayangkara Street 6
Surabaya, which declared on 12 Augusts 1977.
Until 2005, the Museum collection amount to about 15000 that classified to
become 10 collection types that is Geology, Biology, Ethnography, Archaeology,
History, Numismatic and Heraldic, Philology, Ceramics, Fine arts and
Technology. The collections come from prehistory epoch, Hindu-Buddha, Islam
epoch, Colonial and Modern.

Wage Rudolf Soepratman is the Great Hero of the author of Indonesia
national anthem. Born on Monday, 9 March 1903 in Jatinegara Jakarta believe in
Islam and not followed the political organization. His father named Senen, a
sergeant in Battalion VIII. Mothered by his brother in-laws of WM Van Eldik (Sastromihardjo)
he had learnt pluck guitar and fiddle violin.
In 1914, Soepratman follow Roekijem to Makassar. Over there, he sent to
school and financed by Roekijem husband named Willem Van Eldik. Soepratman
study Dutch language in night school during 3 years then continued it to
Normaalschool. He go to an education school in Makasar and when he 20 years,
he is lifted as a teacher in Angka 2 School. Two years after, he get Klein
Ambtenaar certificate.

1928, Supratman sound off his creation song instrumentally in front of the
public participant. At that time is for the first time of Great Indonesia song

song had known among national movement. If the political organization
performed a congress, hence Great Indonesia song is always warbled. The song

He ever built music group which stream jazz called Black and white until
1924. He went to Surabaya and Bandung become newspaper correspondence of "Kaoem

One of Trowulan's central attractions is
the new Archaeological Museum, to be found on the western side of the
kolam segaran. Officially opened in 1987, it was built for the purpose
of displaying and preserving the ever increasing number of historical
treasures discovered in the vicinity of the old Majapahit capital. Covering a
spacious area of some 57,625 square metres, this new site accommodates the
collection of the old
Trowulan Museum, as well as the bulk of the stone sculpture which used to
be housed in the museum of Mojokerto. Among the objects on display, a few
deserve special mention, notably the famous portrait statue of Airlangga as
Wishnu on Garuda, from Candi Belahan; a winged figure which is said to portray
the legendary king of Blambangan, Menak Jinggo; and a part of a temple from
Ampelgading, Malang, displaying the story of Samodramanthana in finely
carved relief. |
