The 27 metres long M/Y Baram is a vessel specially built and refitted in 2004
for Dive & Fishing Expeditions. We are equipped with equipment and a good team
of crew for adventure, exploration and serious fun. We specialize in travel to
remote dive sites and islands only accessible by a long-range boat
The vessel is built of steel and is registered in Malaysia. She is powered by
two Catepillar 343 horse power diesel engines, she is capable of sea speeds of
10-12 knots.
The “Baram” is well suited for expedition cruising, and has a large open deck
2nd level. She is complemented by a tender boat which enable landings on
island visits for nature and wildlife viewing opportunities in otherwise
inaccessible areas. A dinning saloon, serving Asians and European cuisine,
also serves as a meeting room. There is also a lounge and a bar counter for
you to enjoy your drink while watching your favourite movie.
The vessel is also used for research and survey purposes. She is equipped with
computerized navigation system, GPS, Fish Finder, Side scan Sonar, Color
Sonar, underwater communication units and video equipment.
Accommodations includes three air conditioned cabins with four single berths,
1 cabin with two single berths (max. 22 paxs) Rooms configured for 4 people
may be used for 2 person sharing at twin share rates. She has a range of 2000
nautical miles and 12 tons of fresh water capacity.
